How the Flappy Bird Rankings Work

Flappy Bird is the original one-tap arcade game — flap through the gaps, never touch a pipe. On CPSCount there are two ranked ways to play the classic Flappy Bird game online. Infinite mode ranks you by your highest pipe score; Level mode ranks you by the highest level you reach.

Infinite Mode — Highest Pipe Score Wins

Infinite mode is a pure score attack: pick a difficulty — Easy, Normal or Hard, which sets the gap size and the scroll speed, and survive as long as you can. The physics are identical across every difficulty, so the flap always feels the same — only the challenge changes, and harder settings pay a bigger reward multiplier. The leaderboard ranks players by their single best run, measured in pipes passed, with bronze, silver, gold and platinum medal icons marking the milestone scores of 5, 12, 25 and 40 pipes.

Level Mode — The Endless Climb

Level mode is a campaign of fixed challenges. Each level has a pipe target, a gap size and a speed built deterministically from the level number, so level 37 plays the same for everyone, and from level 6 the pipes start drifting up and down. The Level board ranks players by the highest level they have ever cleared. Because progress is forward-only, your best level is permanent — resetting to farm early-level coins never lowers your ranking.

Validated, Honest Scores

Every submitted run is checked server-side before it reaches this board. A score has to be physically possible for the time played — the engine knows the minimum time it takes to pass a given number of pipes at each speed — so impossible, sped-up or fabricated runs are rejected. The rankings you are chasing are real ones set by real players flying the same tap-to-fly arcade game you are.

How to Get on the Board

Log in to your free CPSCount account and play Flappy Bird. Your best Infinite pipe score and your highest level are submitted and validated automatically, and your position appears in this top 100. Guests can still play and earn coins locally — logging in is what puts your name on the global Flappy Bird leaderboard.

Flappy Bird Leaderboard FAQ

How is the Flappy Bird leaderboard ranked?
It depends on the mode. The Infinite board ranks players by their highest pipe score — how many pipes they cleared in a single run. The Level board ranks players by the highest level they have ever reached in the campaign of fixed, procedurally built challenges.
Does difficulty affect my Infinite ranking?
The leaderboard ranks by raw pipe score, so a high score is a high score regardless of difficulty. Harder settings have narrower gaps and faster scrolling, which makes big scores tougher to reach but pays a larger reward multiplier in coins and XP. Pick the difficulty you can string the most pipes together on.
Will resetting my levels lower my Level ranking?
No. The Level board tracks the highest level you have ever reached. Resetting to level 1 for 50 coins only rewinds your current position so you can earn the per-level rewards again — your best level stays on the leaderboard.
How do I get on the Flappy Bird leaderboard?
Log in to your free CPSCount account and play Flappy Bird. Your best Infinite score and your highest level are submitted and validated automatically, and your position shows up in this top 100.
Is the Flappy Bird game free to play?
Yes — it is completely free, needs no download, and runs unblocked in any modern browser on desktop or mobile. You earn coins per pipe in Infinite mode and from clearing levels in Level mode.
