The tester shows whether your browser receives left, right, middle, scroll wheel and thumb side button input.
If one press counts twice, the switch may be bouncing. If a button does not light up, it may be remapped, disabled or failing.
Side buttons usually trigger browser Back and Forward. This page cancels that behavior so you can test them safely.
Test wheel up, wheel down and wheel press separately to catch skipped steps, reverse scrolling or a failing encoder.
Gaming mice often bind side buttons to push-to-talk, abilities, weapon swaps or macros, so clean input matters.
Dust and worn switches can cause missed clicks or double-clicking. Cleaning may help, but persistent faults may need repair.
